President Trump’s 2026 State of the Union Address, delivered on February 24, was a triumphant declaration of America’s resurgence, marking the longest such speech in history at nearly 1 hour and 48 minutes. Trump proclaimed the dawn of a “Golden Age” for the nation, just one year into his second term, as the country approaches its 250th anniversary of independence. He celebrated a dramatic turnaround: inflation plummeting, incomes rising, gas prices at historic lows thanks to unleashed American energy dominance, a roaring economy with booming jobs and manufacturing, and a fully secured border that has ended the chaos of open-border policies from the prior administration.
Trump emphasized protecting American citizens first, highlighting the human cost of illegal immigration through poignant stories of victims and praising mass deportations and law enforcement empowerment. He touted restored military strength, respect on the world stage, and victories like operations against threats in Venezuela. The address honored everyday heroes—veterans, Olympians, and released political prisoners—while rejecting failed leftist policies that weakened the nation. This “turnaround for the ages” has made America bigger, better, richer, and stronger, proving the success of America First principles in delivering prosperity, security, and hope.

Iran Commentary
The ignorance of the press and some in Congress would amuse me if the situation wasn’t so dire! Folks like Messers Massie & Paul from Kentucky continue to protest that there was not an official declaration of war or authorization for this strike… Rumors are that a war powers resolution will be voted on by Congress in the coming days, but President Trump still has the right to veto it so once again Congress proves it’s ineptitude by engaging in fruitless exercises that are a colossal waste of time! The President is acting well within his powers under the War Powers Act of 1973, which among other things, gives him the power to execute military operations for up to 60 days before seeking congressional approval and I’m confident we can fulfill our objectives before that deadline. For those that will use their ears and their noggins and listen carefully, they would know that it has been revealed that Israel would’ve attacked Iran first even if America hadn’t joined in when it did. Iran had threatened to attack US bases overseas if attacked first, so the US action was a DEFENSIVE strike to PROTECT our assets overseas… This is not Donald Trump wanting to start a war just because he was bored or some other ridiculous narrative that may be starting among The Left and their cohorts in the media. Your humble correspondent has taken note of the fact that many videos have been posted online by the President rather than asking the networks for time using the tidy methods we had used when starting other wars in the past.. I now see that we have entered a world where making speeches to Congress where we talk about, “making the world safe for democracy” or talking about “days of infamy”” may have historically come to an end. Communications have come such a long way that if the White House does not post videos until after strikes have begun, then the element of surprise during operations could’ve been compromised had it been done any other way. We live in a new era now and the old way of doing things may be left by the wayside forever as far as communications strategy is concerned. I fully endorse the President’s actions and pray for a swift victory!
